Very few of the songs were familiar to me. Only Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence, and The Beatles Happiness is a Warm Gun. This is an incredible cd, very creative and pleasing. The Eminiem cover is probably the scariest song I have ever heard. Very difficult to listen to, but amazing at the same time. (sounds sick). Rattlesnakes, Enjoy the Silence, Real Men, and Time are the standout tracks. Heart of Gold is the only track that I have to pass through. Macy Gray, The Id Her first cd was very creative. Incredible sounds, lyrics and vocal. All those are back for her second cd. This cd is much more fun than her first cd. This song deals with a few serious issues, but is very playful with the message. Relating to a Psychopath is the greatest song on the cd, but they are all very fun. Diana Krall, Look of Love Smooth-jazz. All the songs contain a latin beat, some heavier than others. Her voice is amazing as always. The songs, are not my personal favorite. Great background music for a romantic dinner. Catie Curtis, My Shirt Looks Good on You Happy Catie! Almost all the songs on this cd contain a very happy, romantic message. I personally find her other cds much better. This cd is more pop based. "Elizabeth" and "The Big Reprise" are most amazing and very Catie Curtis. For a true fan, a must have. If you're new to Catie.. this is not the best place to start. Suzanne Vega, Songs in Red and Gray The Divorce album. Suzanne divorced her husband, Mitchell Froom. He had also produced her 2 previous albums. Those albums had a different sound than earlier Vega cd's. Now she has a new producer, and issues to work through. The songs sound more like her songs on Solitude Standing. Her voice is bare, and honest. An incredible fall sound travels through this cd. The title track is very entertaining. soon coming: Alana Davis Voice on the Verge Natalie Merchant ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V5 #229 *********************************
