Truth is, I've only been listening to LFML CD 2 casually while working, and not as intently as CD 1. I've almost worn the grooves off of CD 1. I had to change the needle three times. I loved it. It was much better than "Cats." I'm going to see it again and again. But like the other day I had CD 2 in and that part in that song came in. I was like "wha? Did she just say what I think she said?" So, then I played that part back to make sure. I didn't play the whole thing over, which I suppose I should have, because I thought it disturbing. However, upon listening to what you feel the whole song is about, the lyric indeed takes on a whole new context. It makes more sense and I like the song better because of it. See? And to think I would have just automatically skipped that song because I didn't draw the proper connotations. This list does help. Thanks so much! Or if this was a commercial, I'd probably say something like "it's fast, it works, it changed MY life!" Paul ******************************************* * * * You're right. Is this a live disc? How can I get a copy. I've seen Patty live several times, both on her own, and as an opener for Lucinda Williams and Shawn Colvin. I saw her most recently about a year ago at Slim's in San Francisco. The new material was great (especially "Makin' Pies"), and it's so crazy that she's having label troubles. She's got friends in high places (Emmylou, Dixie Chicks, etc.) so I know we'll hear the album eventually, but it's still crazy. As an aside, I also saw Bette Midler's last tour, and she performed a really wonderful (no, really!) version of "Mary."
