Check it out for yourself at www.nashville.citysearch.com (search for patty). Just letting you know in case anyone was planning on coming and didn't hear. (I think the reason it is so expensive is b/c a three-course meal is included). Also, patty was seen today at fido's on 21st (a coffeeshop here in nashville), getting 3 coffees to-go. :) Later, Laura lwtaylor@ziggycom.net ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 6 Jun 2001 02:26:31 EDT From: RocketsTail@aol.com Subject: Re: MM: patty sighting and 6/6/01 nashville show I'm going to see Patty for free on 6-7-01 in Nashville...I can't wait!!! ~Eric "This sense of humour of mine It isn't funny at all Oh but we sit up all night Talking about it" ~kate bush ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 6 Jun 2001 10:12:09 -0700 (PDT) From: mark hassing Subject: MM: Perfect White Girls download request I'm looking for a downloadable copy or disc recorded copy of Perfect White Girls that Patty performed for Austin City Limits. Which of course we will never hear because of the scum sucking record companies. I've heard her do that song 3 times live. I can't imagine it being any better on CD the live, but then we will never know because of the scum sucking record companies. Do I sound bitter? It's because of the scum sucking record companies. Oh, well. Hey I'm going to Redbank to see Lucinda tomorrow night. Have not heard who's opening yet. Patty maybe? Can someone please post a link for the scum sucking record company that will not release Silver Bell, so I can make sure not to buy anything those scum suckers release. %#$#$#$$##$...Good night. On another mailing list I'm on we've been ranting and raving for a few days about this. Some of us have sent emails in response to the situation. The email address is: feedback@igamail.com I doubt anyone will read them, but maybe it'll make you feel a little better to rant. :) I would post what I wrote but I don't know if it's cheesy or not... Is it on the Leaves CD that I should be receiving here shortly? ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 7 Jun 2001 01:09:49 EDT From: BenALongYear@aol.com Subject: MM: John Hartford.. Is it really true? John Hartford passed away? What a sad way to end my day, looking at my e-mail after 16 hours at the steelmill, right before bed, and I see this. I saw John Hartford about 5 years ago, in Valparaiso Indiana at a little coffee shop. He is the original real thing. He had an intermission halfway thru the show, and he went to the back and sold his stuff. I got a TShirt which he signed. I asked him if he was going to do anything from the "Aereo-plain" album, like maybe "Steamboat Whistle Blues" or "First Girl I Ever Loved". He said he didn't know if he remembered anything from it. He told me, when he went back on stage to yell it, and remind him. When he got back up there tho, first thing off he said, "Hmmmm Aereo-plain eh?" , then he broke right into the title track, just exactly like he still played it everyday. Maybe he did. Then he like, nodded at me and smiled when it was over. Anyway, I loved that concert and I always said I would see him again. What a great loss. He was a treasure, there was no one like him and he will be missed. I know this has nothing to do with Patty, but in case any other John Hartford fans are on the list, I wanted to let them know.
