Meghan played tonight with Lori and Kris at the Somerville Theater (Somerville, Ma). It was Lori's CD release party (her second CD) and it was an amazing show. Mark Erelli was another amazing part of the performance. Lori reminded me of Patty tonight when she was solo for the first few songs. I was wishing I had moved to Boston back in the "pre-LWG" days and could have caught Patty when she was cutting her teeth, so to speak. I mean I have been following her through small venues in early LWG days, but I know I missed a great experience in not being able to watch while she was learning to walk....and that was something I realized while Lori and Kris were on stage tonight. They are running, Patty is flying, but I have a feeling the runway is going to get crowded soon. Anyway...great show and I hope a few of you got to be there for it. The one that DID NOT get released. I would love to hear that....though I absolutely LOVE the version that got released. I'm sure both version are great. I've read comments that Shawn Colvin has made about the that demo version.....and I'd really love to hear it. - -Denise ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Apr 2001 03:57:25 -0000 From: "MAA :-)" Subject: Re: MM: Re: mad-mission-digest V5 #83 I also have to agree with the Lori and Kris recommendation. I first heard them on the Respond CD and then I saw Lori McKenna at the Somerville theater I think in October, she is awesome! >If you like Jess or Meghan, then you would have to take it a step >further and love Lori McKenna and Kris Delmhorst also. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 2 Apr 2001 00:10:29 -0400 From: "Eryn Fleming" Subject: MM: Patty in Allure magazine Just a quick heads up for you fellow Mad-Missioners-- There's a mention of Patty's album, Flaming Red in Allure's A-List in the April 2001 issue entitled "Better of Red". Pretty cool even though it's not much. Eryn ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V5 #84 ********************************
