["Paul Russell" Subject: Re: MM: LFML sources/wang chung tonight! Hmmmm. Good question, Dana. Well, While I don't know the 'link', I know that the "We Are Water" song was recorded in Grand Central Station. Or....was it? hmmmmm. How many fingers am I holding up? Or....am I holding any up at all? hmmmmmm. Hey, last night, no...a couple nights ago. Crap. Okay, sometime recently when I wasn't drunk, I was listening to NPR's World Cafe' and he (that host dude) played Patty Griffin's cover of "Crazy" she recorded at the U of P XPN studio. Too bad I was in my car or I would have recorded it. So crystal clear, no cafeine, only one calorie. Speaking of Phily...and since I support shameless promotions (although I have none of my own to shamelessly support), The Waterboys will be at the TLA on March 21!! Go see them Awesome Irish rockers. Why do I know this? Well, the day before they will be in Washington D.C. at the 9:30 Club...which a few of my friends and I might actually make a road trip up there and see them in D.C. (it will be sort of a side trip on the way to ATL...only it's not on the way at all). Tickets at the 9:30 Club are $25, so they'll probably be comparable to that at the TLA. It's like folk-punk-rock. Tickets are on sale at every ticketbastard location...even the one nearest you. And because most of this has nothing to do with Patty Griffin, I won't even go into how the other day I was....oop, never mind. You know, me drunk, having a bad day, getting free drinks, girls touching my pants, the usual. But I will tell you that I'm working on a Directed Study proposal right now (that has to do with Folk Music in August) that some of you might be interested in. (Okay, I know the previous sentence sucked ass grammatically.) When things get more into place, I'll let you know, and you can tell me to go to hell then. But not one second before! So, Go Patty Griffin! Karate Chop!
