I suggest you check these guys out if they come your way. Great show from what I remember. I think they were just signed by Steve Earl's record label. For those in the Philly area the bands photo is in the Inquirer's Mag. section today. Included in the cover story on Philly fashion. Also for anyone in the Philly area. Toshi Reagon is at the Tin Angel this coming Friday night. You have been notified! Just found out Toshi will be on the main stage in Newport this year. So you can go to Newport and see Toshi from 500 yards away or go to the Tin Angel Friday night which holds about 100 people. I spoke to the owner last night and there are a few seats left. Saw Marah when they opened for Steve Earle a few months ago.....hell of a band, bought their record, it's great. Kinda like an early Springsteen sound...with a bit more americana fair. ~darcie - -------------------------------------------------------- Get your free DellMail address at http://www.dellnet.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 4 Mar 2001 15:36:08 -0800 (PST) From: Lisa C Subject: Re: MM: Marah Let me triple this recommendation! Marah are a great rock n roll band, and I've been pining for them to come back to the Detroit area since I missed them last March under unfortunate circumstances. Evil Gary, I R jealous. Kids In Philly is great fun, especially for the summertime. . . they are on Earle's E-squared label, and if anyone has seen the movie "You Can Count on Me," I believe they had a song featured in it. What a happy surprise to see them here! Lisa - --- Gary Jacques wrote: > Went over to the Khyber in Philly last night to see > Marah. I suggest you > check these guys out if they come your way.
