Love From My Lips is a compilation of unreleased Patty Griffin tunes that have been played at various shows over the last ten years or so. In attempting to make copies for everyone on the list who wants one we build what is called a tree. I (and Doug and John :) ) would be the "trunk" and there are about ten to twenty "branches". I send copies to them, and then assign them ten to fifteen "leaves" who they, in turn, make copies for. It all done non-profit so as a "branch" your "leaves" send you blanks and return postage. In order to be a branch, you need CD-R capabilities and time. If you are interested please e-mail me back at LoveFromMyLips@aol.com. The first "treeing" is a two-cd set, that includes the following songs: I Write The Book, The Longer You Wait, You Don't Have Me, Under These Clouds, Let Your Freedom Ring, Off You Go, Song For The Eighties, We Are Water, Cat's Out Of The Bag, No More Pioneers, All The Rain, When Something's Broken, I Wonder, Shells, White Dove, Time Of The Dance, Connie And Val, Made Of Clay, Truth, Unnecessary, A Place To Stand, Heart Of The Wound, Holy Water, Buck Naked Heart, No More Illusions, Boxes On The Lawn, Nail In The Coffin, Waterslide, Falling Down, The Long Ride Home, Calling Me Home, Vertigo, Bubba's Sulky Lounge, So Long, Night, Nobody's Crying To my knowledge this is the most extensive collection of unreleased Patty Griffin tunes ever complied and a great addition to your collection. If you don't want to be a branch but want to be leaf that is ok too, but you need to send your information to LoveFromMyLips@aol.com letting me know which one you want to be. Please DO NOT send it to this address. Either way I also need you to INCLUDE YOUR GENERAL LOCATION as to make the treeing more efficient. If you have not heard from your branch yet, please be patient. Lots of you on the west coast haven't been assigned branches yet because I don't have enough. So PLEASE if you have the capabilities and a generous heart, help us out with this. Also there are a couple branches not on the west coast that have gone out of town for the holidays. After the new year, I will post to this list again and will try and take care of all that were left out. Happy Holidays Take Care, Jen :) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Dec 2000 00:09:32 -0500 (EST) From: BLUEHEN@webtv.net Subject: Re: MM: Long Black Limosine Playing this song over and over in my head...you see, my dad's funeral is tomorrow (on his birthday...how ironic!), and I'm going to be riding in one...but I'm thinking of changing the song in my head to "When I'm 64" instead (that's how old he'd be)...just to lighten things a little...going through that feel good song list posted before as well...he taught me to sing and play guitar and he loved Patty Griffin too (being a redhead himself)...."Goodbye" was his favorite...I'm going to attempt "Amazing Grace" with his help at the service...sorry to bring everybody down this fun time of year, but I just wanted to pay tribute to a great man....Thanks for listening... ~Patty~ http://pattyblee.cjb.net ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V4 #351 *********************************
