On matters of the Presidential election... it has come to my attention that Florida's vote will decide the next President of the US, leader of the free world, crimefighter for truth justice and the American Way, yadda yadda yadda. Let me be the first to tell you that this is going to last a while here. According to Florida's by-laws or constitution (or maybe it was on a post-it note) when an election is as close as it was for the President, there is a mandatory automatic recount. Okay, pay attention and groan here.....but THAT recount takes place TEN FREAKING DAYS AFTER THE ELECTION. I think I heard that it will be recounted on November 17 or something. They decide to wait and actually count the absentee ballots that were post marked before (or on) Tuesday. Duh, good thinking. That's gotta suck. Making all that effort to be an absentee voter and not get your vote counted. And even when all this is over, it won't matter who wins, because everyone on the losing side will be somehow CONVINCED that this election was fixed in some way. I'm serious, it won't matter at all. Both parties are going to be at each other's throat because Florida is just too stupid to corrrectly count votes. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh on Florida. Maybe I need to start learning how to fix myself Bloody Mary's in the morning and decompress from the previous night's drinking binge. Alright, why am I spouting all this useless information your way? Well, I was snooping around and found the official application for hiring those Florida vote counters!
