Nancy Micciulla- incredibly beautiful voice. Awesome lyrics. probably the only person who I have heard sing that gives me that feeling the entire length of my spine, just like Patty.. you know the one, when every hair on your body stands on end, you have goosebumps, and that tingly feeling in your spine... You can get more information on her at www.paperwings.de If you live in the Pittsburgh area, do yourself a favor and go hear her live! 2. Darcie Miner- great songwriter, great music.. and an incredibly passionate voice. Her band is really great too! She has opened for some really great artists here in PA. She has 2 CD's available on her website www.darcieminer.com One is solo, one full band. I recommend them both HIGHLY. She plays a few Patty covers too, which is always a good thing in my book. As much as I DO love her Patty covers, I like her own material just as much, if not better when she sings it. She is touring pretty extensively now in PA, so if you live in that area, check her out! As far as others (non MMers) go.. the MMer's really are my favorites.. Beth Hart Wow, what a live show she puts on! Lynn Miles, great voice Shannon Curfman- AWESOME debut CD that she did when she was only 14 years old! Can play a blues guitar better than.. well, better than any new guy artist I've heard since Jonny Lang and Kenny Wayne Sheppard. Great deep voice to go along with her awesome guitar playing! I am really scared to hear what this girl will sound like in a few years.. The Nields- Great songs, really fun band Bree Sharp- much more pop sounding than my usual taste... but I REALLY love her anyway.. she lists Patty as her biggest influence, so that HAS TO BE a good thing now doesn't it? for the guys out there, YES she is somewhat good-looking too.. Ok, that's all out of me! I'm sincerely jealous of those of you (DON) that got to go see Patty HEADLINING in Oberlin last night! I wish I could just go into hibernation from now until the tour starts..(barring Saturday's of course b/c I can't miss my beloved Canes). Happy Patty listening!
