Hi Anne, The person who shouted out "we are here to see you Patty!" was my boyfriend, Mike, who is not on the list. BUT he is the one to turn me on to her. Our first date was the Patty concert 2 yrs ago at the Keswick. Where we waited out at the stage door to see her. When she came out of the bus, he told her that he loved her. Patty's response was to roll her eyes and say "oh boy". I will never forget that moment as I busted up. I was in awe of her music. Since then I grabbed the Patty ball and ran with it. He on the other hand has grow "tired" of her. BUT I think his Patty feelings returned the second she walked out on stage. And he too thought EmmyLou's band was fantastic. Where you the one with long brown hair(maybe Auburn, was dark)or where you to the right or left of her? I was directly behind the long brown haired girl who was totally into Patty's music, bopping and swaying her head. :-) Peace, Karla _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. It was great meeting some of you and putting a face with a name. Sorry I had to ask your names twice but we just drove 350 miles back home from Vermont for the show. Let's see Don and Patty? If Patty is wrong it's my wife's fault. She had a great Patty Griffin shirt on. They drove 3-1/2 hrs one way for the show. Very impressive. I hope you guys made it home safely. Very nice people. Karla, Claudia, Don, Dave and of course Marcie. My special thanks to Marcie for making my bad hair day, what little I have left, look not so bad. When I introduced myself to Marcie she looked at me as though Satan himself had risen up from hell, just to say hello. LOL Patty is looking more confident then ever. It is clear that the big names in the music industry are all over Pattys work. Bottom line. She's made it. Period. Game, set and match Patty. Watching this happen over the last four years has been a great. My first Emmy Lou concert. She and the band were terrific. She spent half the night looking right at me. She wanted me I'm pretty sure. Unfortunately, my wife does not let me date. Once again my pleasure meeting you folks. Good luck and Good Health to all! It was so great to finally hear "Perfect White Girls"..what a funky, cool song! And it looked like Patty was really enjoying the solo thing again...plumbing the depths of emotion she can reach best when she has that kind of silence around her. I love her with the band, but there is something different that she conveys when it's just her and guitar. Speaking of which, that would be my only gripe about last night's performance. It seemed when Patty strummed hard, her guitar would almost sound distorted! I liked the sound of her Taylor she used to play so much better. But the Gibson she pulled out for Mary sounded absolutely beautiful! (Just nitpicking here!) Emmilou just blew me away!! My first time seeing her live....I've listened to her since I was a kid, and it brought back some amazing memories! "Wrecking Ball" is one of the most hauntingly beautiful works I've ever heard, thanks in a big way to Daniel Lanois (it was nice she paid tribute to him by covering his song "Deep Water" toward the end of the show....how bout that bass and drum solo in the middle!!!!!) My daughter enjoyed both shows almost as much as me, which made me very happy, but not her this morning when she had to get up for school at 6:30 after getting to bed at 1! (Good mothering, huh! :-) PS: So good to finally meet a few of you, Don, Dave, Karla and Patty (albeit for a brief moment)....and Darcie, I'm putting my order in!!! Bye all.......... I was right behind you and your boyfriend with my mother and a friend of ours was on the other side of my mother, she has blonde hair. I saw a lot of people with Patty shirts on, I was upset they weren't selling any there, but I guess that she doesn't really have an album in promotion right now so there is no merchandise, I'll just have to go see her again...oh darn!!! It's the only show I have ever been to where the opening act for a standing ovation and an encore....I half the audience was there for Patty, that's wonderful!
