I saw the Dixie Chicks and Patty Griffin on Friday night in Tampa. I have been worshiping the ground that Patty hovers over for the past 3 or so years and it was amazing to finally be able to see her. Although the music was too loud to really feel Patty flow through your veins as I am used to and the 3 girls behind me were like "Where are the Dixie Chicks, where are the Dixie Chicks, Where are the Dixie Chicks???" the entire time. Patty's preformance was still awesome. I really have to admit though that I left the concert very disapointed. That was because the Dixie Chicks didn't even mention Patty's name more than once. And even more depressing, the Dixie Chicks sang "Let him Fly" 100% Pattyless and was just like "Yeah, like that girl who was up here before wrote that song" - the same song which not to mention, gave the Dixie Chicks the title to their latest CD "Fly" and inspired the giant Misquito which flew through out the stadium. I went there a Dixie Chicks fan and a Patty Griffin Mad-Missioner and left as a Patty Griffin Mad-Missioner and Dixie Chicks grudge-holder. They may have given her props on other nights in other cities during this tour, but this time, they just didn't.
