I enjoy reading what everyone has to say about Patty and her wonderful music, but unfortunately I live in the Chicago area and Patty doesn't like us out here because she never tours out this way! Anyway, I have been a little out of the loop recently, and was catching up with old posts when I read a horrible mention that Patty's new album was not being released until January! Last I heard it was September, and I was greatly anticipating this - I COULDN'T WAIT! Now I am majorly depressed and would like to know if anyone can verify this terrible news and maybe what is causing this delay. especially since they initially gave a release date of early summer and that got changed quickly. I really am curious as to what good reason they could possible have for holding her back for so long! Somebody please release me from my misery! - -Sandi "Everything before is gone, or going somewhere." -Patty Griffin, "One Big Love" ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 28 Aug 2000 06:54:11 EDT From: Hiwayman9@aol.com Subject: MM: Patty was great Friday night! I saw Patty open for the Dixie Chicks here in D.C. on Friady, and although the set was way too short - she and her band sounded fantastic. She opened with "Blue Sky", did "One More Girl" and shared with the audience that her new album "Silver Bell" would be released in January. Her ending "Mary" was absolutely beautiful... She also came out during the Chicks set and sang with them on "Let Him Fly". Her and the chicks sat on this big red sofa that was center stage.. but what I liked was that Patty started singing lead.............. Great rendition. Just wanted to let you know. Also, the Dixie Chicks were awesome... I didn't realize how talented they really are. I immensly enjoyed the whole show! Later, Keith :-) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 28 Aug 2000 12:27:46 EDT From: Mystchif1@aol.com Subject: MM: Love From My Lips Branch Signup Hey all, Guess what??
