I'd like to know what people think about the songs. My fav on the album will be "Shells" unless "Nobody's Crying" happens to be a hidden track. I've already added as my new Yahoo quote. What's everybody's favorite song on the upcoming album? :-) John ===== "The blood of these lambs speaks of the darkness... and the blood of these lambs speaks of the rage... yes the blood of these lambs is rolling to the sea... It's writing your history on every single page." - Patty Griffin __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Kick off your party with Yahoo! I wouldn't rank "Brand New Day" as his best (try "Nothing Like the Sun..." or "Ten Summoners Tales") but it's very good. He's awesome live - I've seen him on most every tour except the most recent one - and his band is always first rate. By the way, someone mentioned that Sting was probably the driver behind most of "Ghost in the Machine". Actually, he wrote mostly every Police song with a few exceptions (Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland wrote a handful). Enjoy... I'd thought I'd pass along this bit of info. It's not on Mike's site, so hopefully it hasn't been mentioned on the list yet. According to www.interscope.com, Patty will be appearing at the Uptown Mix in Nashville 9/13. I don't have a phone number for them, but their address is 20th Ave. and Division St. I'm going to try to call Uptown Mix today to find out some more details. I'm quite pleased. I didn't think Patty would make it to Nashville on this tour! Every time I hear that song it just gives me chills. It's one of the few Patty songs that I think is improved greatly by the addition of the band. It has such an eerie, dark sound, when it nears the end it gives me goosebumps all over.. I can't recall the complete track listing, but One More Girl is definitely another favorite that was due to be on the CD. I'm very interested to hear the band arrangement of this one, since I've become so accustomed to hearing it with just Patty and her guitar. Well, I just got tickets in the 12th row for Patty & Emmylou at the Keswick on October 15th. I sure hope this marks the end of this opening nonsense! I've been blessed with seeing Patty more than I could have ever hoped for, and I don't want to complain, but please GOD let there be some headlining shows coming up!! Have a great weekend everyone.
