Two perfect days! Tons of music. My favorite..."Toshi Reagon". Now here is someone that is still playing small clubs. A must see live performer. Don't miss out on this one. After wading thru the sea of big hair and bad fluorescent tiger striped cowboy hats, we took our seats and hoped that Patty didn't get screwed time ot sound wise...thankfully neither was the case! Patty kicked the collective bootys of all at the show! Flaming Red rocked... Blue Skies was beautiful... and we both thought that performing "Tony" in front of a bunch of sh*#-kickers was a VERY bold move. It was, all in all, a wonderful performance. The best part of the night? The look on people's faces as we left during the DC's first song (sorry if I offend anyone...but they stink) gregg ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 Aug 2000 12:57:26 -0400 From: Gary Jacques Subject: MM: RE: Patty w/ the Dixie Chicks in Kansas City Gregg..the perfect move! Her alternative music was a far cry from the stone country music the Chicks brought to the stage. Griffin , who wrote "Fly" , both the title song of the Dixie Chicks current album & the theme of their tour , played everything from head-banging rock to sweet ballads. The audience favorite was a song from her upcoming album "Trouble Number Two. ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V4 #228 *********************************
