I'd also like to throw my name in the hat for the first Rarities CD. I'm sorry to say I don't have anything to offer right now in exchange for someone's kindness, but I do hope to get a CD burner soon (maybe for Christmas, after I drop a major hint on my parents). Then I'd be more than happy to make copies for anyone who needs them. I've been on the list for a while but this is my first post. I've been a Patty fan since I saw the movie "Niagra, Niagra" a few years back and just had to run out to get the soundtrack after hearing that incredible voice. Then I bought her two CDS and she's been an obsession (in a good way) ever since. I've seen her live three times, once at the Bowery Ballroom (awesome show) and both nights a couple of weeks ago with the Dixie Chicks at Radio City. (Great shows also, but way too short.) I can't wait for the new CD. Anyway, I'm 30 years old and live on Long Island, where I work for Newsday (the sixth largest daily newspaper in the country). I'm constantly trying to figure out a way to get Patty in the paper so more people can discover what an amazing artist she is. Unfortunately, I hold little power in that regard, being just an insignificant cog in the machinery that is Newsday. I guess I'll just have to keep kissing up to the music editor and dropping subtle hints like, "Patty's great. You HAVE to do a story on her." :) Well, I've blathered on long enough. What can I say, I'm a writer. That's what we do. It's been nice getting to know you guys over the past year or so. Patty rules!
