Hi Everyone, a few years back Patty played The Sommerville Theatre. I have a boot of the show but don't have any other info on the theatre - does anyone know where it is? A correct/complete name of the theatre or anything else? Thanks for your help, Jen P.S. I haven't uploaded an mp3 yet this week cause i've been busy with a calc exam but look for it tomorrow evening. I'm still trying to decide what I want to put up for this week as most of the requests have been filled. Let me know if you have suggestions. http://63.65.13.167/pattygriffin/mp3s/pmp3.htm The Patty Griffin mp3 of the week site http://www-personal.engin.umich.edu/~jcaputo/Patty.html Patty Griffin Concert Photo Archive ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 29 May 2000 03:57:05 -0400 (EDT) From: BLUEHEN@webtv.net Subject: MM: Patty song Hey all! Just thought you guys would appreciate this...I was giging tonite down at the Jersey Shore, and I played Sweet Lorraine fully expecting no one to have ever heard it (especially in a crowded bar full of people crazy to start partying for the summer!) Well, it got the biggest reaction of almost any song I played all night! I don't know if Patty's finally getting heard out there, or if the power of her songwriting blew them away, and out of vacation mode for a second...but I was really pleased! I continue to spread her songs around...each one a precious gem that should shine in the spotlight....just thought the MMers would be happy for her! That happens to me alot too! Patty's really getting out there. Especially with other musicians, I think they repsect her EXTREMELY well. I just played State College yesterday and we did band versions of "i wirte the book", "flaming red," "tony", "carry me," and then we do acoustic "cain." A TON of people came up to me later and were like, "you must really like patty! she's great isn't she?!" Yeah! Very cool..... She's going to EXPLODE this summer...we knew her when... :-) Check out my webpage! ~Patty~ http://pattyblee.cjb.net ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 29 May 2000 16:47:30 -0400 From: "Donald Henn" Subject: MM: NPC-2 mad-mishers in one night MMers , I saw Nancy Micciulla & Darcie Miner in Harrisburg , Pa on Saturday night. They were outstanding , & if they are indicative of the talent level on this list , I'll be looking forward to hearing the Patty tribute CD. I'm off to see the opening show of the tour in Winnipeg , & will report when I get back next week. I am haunted by Patty's live versions and would like to learn to play either of them...... Thanks! ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V4 #149 *********************************
