Anybody have any insight into navigating around USC for this Patty/Emmylou Harris performance this evening? Since it's free, will the place fill up, or is Bovard Auditorium huge? I do not see how. Actually I have two close friends with birthdays that day, and a mid term until noon, so...it hurts to know she's playing 5 hours away and I cannot make it. Argh! Hey guys, these dates just went up on Pollstar - don't know if they're new to any of you or not: Sat 07/01/00 Annapolis, MD Ramshead Sun 07/02/00 Alexandria, VA The Birchmere Wed 07/05/00 Harrisonburg, VA Court Square Ok, so I just got an email from the Dave Matthews Mailing list talking about Austin City Limits and I'm soo excited! I know we still have over a month till it airs but we are talking about all my favorite people on one stage!! What's really funny is that Emmylou has recorded songs with everyone else on the show (come to thing of....who hasn't Emmylou recorded with???). I know that Dave Matthews does Long Black Veil and Emmylou and Dave have sung this song together a couple times so I'm guessing they'll be dueting on that one. Does anybody know what other songs any of the artists will be dueting on? Emmylou could practically sing along with any song that any of them play because she does on the album versions! hehe By the way, I finally took the lists advice and picked up Julie Miller's "Broken Things" - WOWWOWOW Havent' removed it from my car cd player yet! That album is amazing. "I Still Cry" w/Patty singing back up is unbeliebably beauitful but I think my favorite song is definately "Broken Things". For those of you that dont' have the cd check out this lyric: You can have my heart if you don't mind broken things.... - Julie Miller Wow...gets me everytime Anyway, does anyoen know if Patty and Julie sing I Still Cry on City Limits? Or if Emmylou and Julie sing Broken Things? Ok...I really need a setlist for this show! Do any Detroiters (Sarah????) know if we get this show on her PBS channel? ok..enough blubber - take care all! Too excited at this moment to send anything of consequence, except that . . . I'M JUST ABOUT TO GET INTO MY CAR TO GO SEE PATTY & EMMYLOU @ USC TONIGHT!!! Just thought I'd let you know. I'm fairly new to the list, but this will be my 4th time seeing Patty, since first having done so in Chicago, Spring of 1997 when she opened for Shawn Colvin. I'm ecstatic!!! I'll try to get off of the cloud after the show & post a message to let everyone know how it went. Adios!
