[John Utrup ] MM: RE: mad-mission-digest V4 #74 ["Ramos, Ruben" Subject: MM: Covering patty's songs Dearest MMers, there are so many talented artists on this list, why not put out a CD of your own ORIGINAL material?? true, doing patty's songs would be great, but why not record a Mad Mish compilation of your own stuff? that way the rest of us MMers who are not as musically inclined could get a feel for who's out there and what your styles are. Personally, i think it would be much more interesting that hearing patty covers. The dixie chicks have already shown us what can happen to patty's songs when they get into the wrong hands (uggh!). -- Not that any of you would likewise homogenize and otherwise blow all of the life out of such an amazing song as Let Him Fly. just a thought. - --WJ in Austin (just moved here a week ago from DC!!) ===== ~~~~ Keep on keeping on!! ~~~~ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I'm sure they'd both go over well. :-) John ===== "My grandfather is hard-of-hearing. He needs to read lips.
