It's kinda a long story..... I finished mixing the final copy of Rarities 2 and sent it to a very gracious MM'er who offered to attempt to improve the sound quality and burn the masters to cd. During the week that I sent it to him, he moved, and has not yet had the time to get to it. Understandably so....... Anyway, recently I was contacted by someone who informed me that he had a boatload, and yes I do mean boatload, of other Patty tunes that none of us were aware of. I think we counted 16 new tunes in all!!!! This would make a total of 47 songs that were not on LWG, FR, or the first Rarities. In light of this new info, and with the hopefully soon-to-be upcoming release of Patty's new album, the project is slightly on hold for the time being. I'll be speaking more with all involved in the new project and will let you know something within the next week or so. I hope to have something well worth waiting for in the next month. Perhaps, a chronological compilation of all the Patty tunes......unless we all get arrested for bootlegging. :) I do have a question, can anyone tell me what soundtrack Copenhagen is from? I lost the info in all this mess........ Up to my Ears in Patty tunes, Jen :) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Mar 2000 10:23:54 EST From: Mystchif1@aol.com Subject: MM: Rarities 2 - Desperately Seeking Mike :) Hey, Sorry to post this to the list but I need to find Mike Acerbo. Please e-mail me. Thanks, Jen :) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 01 Mar 2000 13:19:05 EST From: "John Malloy" Subject: MM: Hello... Hi there, My name is John Malloy and I am a brand spankin' new meber to this list. I have been a Patty Griffin fan from the first time I heard "I Write the Book" on the Legacy 2 compilation. After that, it seemed that the only place I could find Patty was singing beautiful harmony parts on Ellis Paul's records (AMAZING SONGWRITER). And then, of course, the two albums came out and her appearances on albums by Martin Sexton, Marc Cohn and Julie Miller which have all floored me. I am mesmerized by her consistent high quality of musicianship and emotional intensity. So anyway, I just thought I would introduce myself and say that I look forward to discussing this wonderful artist with all of you. Also, I have heard mention of a "rarities" CD. Does anyone have any furthur information on it? Thanks again!
