Offenders go stand in a corner. As list manager-owner, in the now two years plus this list has been active, I have rarely had to be the Principal and stop a fight. For that I am quite grateful :-) Not that this IS a fight yet, but it does have the potential to get ugly. This list is a nice home to many of you and it needs to stay that way. So please, no more name calling. It only starts on list fights and gets people riled up. Not to mention the fact that it is just plain rude. If someone posts asking something that was already posted, or missed a very informative post, well then just re-inform them. This happens quite a bit in the mailing list world, for a wide variety of reasons, ranging from laziness (not reading the list posts), to accidental deletion, to someone being on digest and NOT even getting the post yet, to server problems and NOT ever getting the post to begin with. (Hotmail subscribers ARE missing a lot of posts because of that servers' contant problems). So again, please play nice. I don't want to send anyone to detention ;-) Mike - list ower - - * The Patty Griffin/Mad-Mission@smoe List Homepage is at: * http://www.quackquack.net/pattyg * * Rachel Martin's Patty Griffin Lyrics Archive is at * http://www.geocities.com/Wellesley/3079/patty.html * * Jerry Zigmont's Flaming Red - A Patty Griffin Website is at * http://members.tripod.com/PattyGriffin * * Katie Peterson's Patty Griffin Guitar Tabs Archive is at * http://members.tripod.com/~Lifey/patty.html * * DuckOfPrey or WhyADuck55 on AOL and/or AOL Instant Messenger ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 2 Feb 2000 10:05:54 EST From: Femboty2k@aol.com Subject: MM: MM - The Lost Mad-Missioner How come I always miss the action. That's clogging up the list more than the "fight". The "fight" is over because I said my piece and am not going to reply to the last letter in the "fight". Everyone calm down. It's over. I'd just like to point out that if he had said, "What are you people, gay?" then everyone would have had a fit. It makes me really sad to see a group of intelligent, somewhat socially conscious people ignoring the kind of prejudice he showed. But I guess different people have different soft spots. Anyone who'd like to reply to this post should probably do it in private to me, so as not to further this wonderful "fight" discussion. I went looking on the website everyone has so graciously provided for us and I couldn't find the listing for detroit. I e-mailed the detroit PBS station and this is what they sent me: Steve, We don't currently air "Sessions at West 54th". We will be bringing it back beginning Sunday, 3/19 at 4 a.m. I looked through the episodes in the schedule, and I don't see the Patty Griffin episode in our schedule, since we won't begin airing the series again until March. Thank you for watching Detroit Public Television. So we here in detroit have to suffer and find some other means of seeing Patty. Maybe, if your cable has another PBS station on it, you can try there. If you have any luck let me know. I'm just as bummed as you are Sarah, Well, some wonderful person on this list offered to trade me Patty sessions for Tori sessions if the ol' Motor City doesn't air Sessions....looks like I'll be taking her up on the offer. I'm sure many others will be willing to start a trade or a tree or something.
