I'd prefer to send information privately to anyone who wants it rather than clog up the whole list. My wife and I arrived too late to see Wainwright, saw Patty's way-too-short 6-song set, then accepted an invitation to a more intimate venue (OK, a pizza joint across the street) for a performance by Gary Jules. By the time he was finished, Lucinda was on her last encore, and in hindsight we made the wrong choice. We absolutely loved Isaak's show, however--IMO his albums give no hint of what an engaging performer he is. Still, I regret skipping most of Lucinda's set. FWIW, I have a pseudo-sister-in-law who loves Lucinda's songwriting but can't take her voice. Anybody else have that reaction? I think she's an amazing songwriter, but her voice seems to have no range and she constantly sings in the same key (it seems). I've got to have a little variety so I've turned away from Lucinda. I did see the Patty/Lucinda show when it came through Nashville and Lucinda was VERY polite and laid back and seemed like an extremely nice, professional woman who doesn't give into the rock star bullshit. Anyway, I just thought I'd throw in my $.02. -Cristina ********************************************* "I thought that if you had an acoustic guitar that it meant that you were a protest singer.
