Subject: MM: Don't you hate it ... when you mean to send a message privately, but forget to delete the list address??? Me too. :) Sorrrrry, all! However, I do have questions relevant to the list -- particularly about a song I saw Patty do live on a tape I watched recently. It was upbeat ... not on any of her recordings and I REALLY would like to get a copy of it. It wasn't Cain. I'm frustrated at not being able to remember ... but know I would recognize the name once I heard it. I think it's one she wrote ... and was performed at a show in Nashville. Really a stretch, I know. Anybody have possible titles and where I might find a copy?? Thanks so much. Ronda, I'm guessing that the song you're talking about is "We Are Water" which is my personal FAVORITE Patty song! I don't know of it ever being recorded in a studio. Your best bet is to find someone with a good bootleg of a show whenever she plays that song.. :-) If you send me the lyrics that you remember, I'll let you know if that is in fact the song. Hi All~ I'm not sure, but I *think* KMTT here in Seattle actually had it recorded in their "Mountain Music Lounge." If not, they have a d@mn good bootleg that they play every once in awhile - you may want to email them to see if you can get a copy. They web page is kmtt.com. I haven't heard it forever, though ~m > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-mad-mission@smoe.org [mailto:owner-mad-mission@smoe.org]On > Behalf Of UMCaner74@aol.com > Sent: Monday, August 23, 1999 8:54 AM > To: rblack1@io.com > Cc: mad-mission@smoe.org > Subject: Re: MM: Don't you hate it ... > > > Ronda, > > I'm guessing that the song you're talking about is "We Are > Water" which is my > personal FAVORITE Patty song! Hey there! I was wondering if anyone would like to do a trade for rare, live Patty stuff. I don't have any Patty stuff (besides the two albums) and I was going to set up a trade with Cristina on this list, but I can't seem to get in touch with her. The email address I have for her seems to be invalid now. Cristina, if you're out there and still want to trade, contact me! Anyone else interested, please contact me privately. The majority of my stuff is Tori Amos, but I may have others upon inspection and depending on who you are looking for! ;-) I would just really love to start collecting some more Patty! Looking forward to hearing from any of you! Long time, no cybertalk! I just had to resubscribe to the list because our email was defunct for a while. Anyway, I can't wait to start hearing from all of you again. Have I missed any critical Patty news in the past 3 weeks? I know that I was negotiating some trades with a few of you before our cable company screwed up our internet service. To those MM'ers I was going to trade with, please email me and if you are still interested, we'll resume our trading. I'm sorry about the long delay, but it was due to circumstances beyond my control. Anyway, does anyone know if Patty is coming to Nashville soon? Hi Dave! At the bottom of their real audio page, they have a request box. Maybe if enough of us ask for "We Are Water" or some other Patty song, they'll put it on the website. I have a suggestion for anyone who is having trouble getting their local radio station to play Patty's stuff: go grocery shopping!!! I was just at my local Albertson's (I have no idea if this is a regional or national chain) and found myself humming along to a song that sounded strikingly familiar to me. Just as the cashier was scanning my Rice Dream through, it dawned on me: THAT WAS PATTY THEY WERE PLAYING OVER THE SPEAKERS!!! The song they were playing was "Christina" (I guess they knew I was shopping there ;-)) and I was absolutely giddy as I wrote out my check. However, I don't know if Patty's music playing in a grocery store is exactly a GOOD thing. Oh well, at least she's getting heard by the Albertson's customers in Nashville. -Cristina ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V3 #245 *********************************
