Hey guys!, I realize that Patty is playing only 2 dates on Lilith Fair, and both of those dates are in Ohio. However, last night i was at the Lilith show in Hershey, PA. In between the sets of the Pretenders and Dixie Chicks, guess who comes over the PA system?? OH YES, OUR Patty! They played Tony, Change, Goodbye, and Carry Me before the Dixie Chicks came on.. Despite the white scarves being an all 3 mic stands (for the Dixie Chicks), I was sitting there fantasizing that someone would come out and say.."sorry, but the Dixie Chicks couldn't make it tonight.." then go on to announce that OUR Ms. Griffin would take their place on the main stage! Of course, that didn't happen though... One other thing of note. As I walked in yesterday, there was this girl named Keren Deberg singing on the Village Stage. I had never heard of her before, but she had a pretty nice sized crowd watching her. Some of them knew the words to her songs, but I think most of them just stopped to watch her because they were WOWED by her voice and her music like I was. She had a really good stage presence, and seemed like a really nice person as well..although I didn't go over to meet her when she was signing autographs after her show. She only played 20 minutes, but i would say her performance was my 2nd favorite of the whole day/evening. I bought her CD as well. It's only 4 songs, but I've listened to it 4 times already since last night! I don't know how you can get her CD's if you don't buy them at the Lilith shows, but if anyone's interesed it says on the CD that you can get more info by writing to debergK@aol.com Ok, just thought some of you might be interested in hearing about some "new" talent. New to me at least... Hope you're all having a great weekend! Dave ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V3 #226 *********************************
