Probably... if the same concert someone was asking about before, the song is "Half a Person" on the Smiths' Louder Than Bombs album. One might say their best album. Call me morbid, call me pale... I've spent 6 years on your trail. 6 long years on your trail. And if you have 5 seconds to spare, then I'll tell you the story of my life. 16 clumsy and shy... so on so on. I have 2 tickets to the May 18th Lucinda/Patty show at 328 Performance Hall in Nashville. I can't go now because of my work schedule. If anyone is interested in purchasing them, email me: Ed Sharpe@aol.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Apr 1999 20:31:39 EDT From: Mystchif1@aol.com Subject: MM: Trading? Anyone? Hey all........ Just wondering if anyone's been taping any recent Patty shows and if those anyone's were interested in trading. I've got lot's and lot's of good stuff to barter with. Please e-mail me if you're remotely interested. Thanks, Jen :) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Apr 1999 18:50:40 PDT From: "Paul Russell" Subject: MM: dy-no-mite ha ha ha :) *serving Christina's head on a platter* hmmm. platter....head....head of lettuce...salad with croutons and baco-bits. I'm hungry. ANYWAY!! I'm going to try my darndest to finally see this Patty Griffin chick in concert next week. I've been reading with great concern about all the latest Griffin concerts with her starting to lose her voice. Apparently she will be in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, and Birmingham on Wednesday. Both are 5 hour drives, and I'm writing basically to state that if I actually get off my big fat booty and haul out over to these remote locations only to find out she cancels because her voice gave out.....some heads are gonna roll. I'm gonna be opening my can of whoop-ass. :P (sorry if that sounded bitter, just tired from, you know, like the three jobs I have.) :P Hey, maybe I should take one of the studio camera's and try to get a TV interview of Ms. Griffin? Nah, the network would probably be ticked off enough that I ditched 'em on a live TV night. And then we would probably come to the part where I would get fired for using network equipment to freelance as well as using editing equipment to dub copies etc etc. (kind of a downward spiral thing, I can see it now.) As my parents used to say, "We'll see." Well, tut tut. need to stay chipper. As comedian Gallagher once said, "If crime-fighters fight crime, and fire-fighters fight fires, what do freedom fighters fight?" Talk atcha next time I've got a free hand...or actually two free hands since I like to do that typing-thing instead of "peck away." peace, love and vegetable rights: paul ********************************* * Damn, woman. I have a free ticket to ANYONE who wants to go with me to see OUR beautiful Ms. Griffin at the Ram's Head in Beautiful Annapolis, MD on Thursday night. I'm really sorry this is such a late post..but you know how things are when people decide they aren't going to do things that they promised they would at the last minute..SO.. From what I hear you have reserved seats at tables here..so whoever wants to take this ticket will be burdened by having to sit beside me the whole night. I did order my tickets early so they should be pretty close to the stage though. I was just going to go and sit there and watch her by myself, I mean, I can't really think of anything I would rather do than hear Patty sing, whether I'm with friends or by myself. Ok, to make this short..anyone who would want to go please email me at this address. Up until 4 o'clock I'll be at work tomorrow, so I'll be getting home to check my mail around then. If you want to leave a number where I can reach you that would be cool..if you want to just call me then..(I'm SO trusting of everyone on this list..) my phone number is 717-486-4414. I will probably be home only long enough to shower and stuff before leaving, so I'll only be here till around 5. I was at the Patty show last night in Philly and all I can say is, it IS worth the trip no matter how far you have to drive to see her. I never thought I'd see the solo show again..and it's not really that it's "better" than with the band, it's just so much more personal, and it's nice for a change... Ok..well have a nice day everyone.. I wanted to let you all know that Patty's performance on the Letterman show is NOT on June 15th anymore. She said last night that it had been changed to sometime in July, but I don't think she knew the exact date. I'm sure there will be an update here soon... For all of you that already sent in postcards begging for a ticket to the show..I guess you can look forward to doing that again..:-) Dave ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V3 #112 *********************************
