But, she isn't Irish....she's a Texas native. Although she's very popular in Ireland and the UK and spent some time living in Ireland, her family background is actually Welsh. I really love some of her earlier albums like "Once in a very Blue Moon" and "Little Love Affairs." I also like "Late Night Grand Hotel" and "Flyer." At one time, she had a couple of videos out of live performances; "One Fair Summer Evening" and "Other Voices, Other Rooms." Don't know if you can still find them now. As for the manager bashing thread, I'll have to agree that there are some real bastards out there claiming to be managers and doing more to ruin careers than to help. However, even though the profession itself if reviled, there are actually some managers who work with artists because they love the music and share the artist's vision. Granted, they may be few and far between but not everyone is out to exploit other people for fame and money. Believe it or not, I even hear that there are a couple of lawyers that work with poor people who can't afford council and some doctors who do volunteer work at clinics for free. Every profession involving potentially large financial rewards will draw out the weasel factor in the population.
