Well, the company MonsterBook, > a free internet directory service (like a phone book), is doing the > same thing. According to CNBC, this company has potential to become > another Amazon or Hotmail. According to the company, they are only > doing this for the first one million subscribers. Now, they might already be past one million registered...but if not...hey, it's $10. So please sign up with my number :) Use the $10 towards Patty tickets! And if I make enough (ok, they only let you sign up 50 people per person...or $500) then maybe I can pay Patty to play here at Swarthmore College! (fingers crossed...knocking on wood...) take care y'all...and have a free smile tonight on me whether or not you sign up for this crazy thing! (but hey, at least go to the website to PROVE to yourself that these people are really doing this and I'm not part of some slimy pyramid scheme!) te quiero mucho, Josh'schwa'Tropp ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Mar 1999 08:29:20 -0600 From: "Paquin, John" Subject: MM: RE: RE: NPC. b/c I love you For all who don't know the web site www.pollstar.com contains tour information for many, many touring artists. In response to the question, addressed to the entire list, about whether our friend (iceburgg) should ditch work, and drive ten hours to see the Exalted One. That's Patty, for the slow ones. I say, "What the hell?" Why not? I mean, she is a great entertainer, and she will probably proceed to rock your world, and make you grovel for more. But, as the voice of reason floats down upon my head, wouldn't it be easier to just wait for a date that is closer to home. I mean she will be coming round the mountain again, hopefully soon. Wouldn't that be more reasonable, cheaper, and a whole hell of a lot more rational? I actually was going to wow everyone with this entry, because usually I seem to just sit on the sidelines and watch you all bicker about Jewel or grammies, or bong-hitting commies...and I actually decided to speak up for once, just tweak at your gray matter a bit. However....I missed my train of thought, and I am sitting here at the station wondering how many green M&Ms are in one package. In other words, I lost what I was going to say, but since I finally was taking the time to pipe up, I decided to do it anyway, without my train of thought. Ya dig? You see what I have done here. You see this genius that I have just mastered. I have just rambled and wasted all of your time, and said one eensy bitty thing about Patty. Am I going to be castrated today..or tommorrow for this? Because if it's today, I need to get a haircut, I have split ends. Who wants to be castrated with split ends, surely not me. Oh yeah, back to my original point...if you wanna drive 10 long hours, and use the restroom at rest stops for a few days, while listening to Bucky Bob play banjo on the radio...I say it is all worth it. It's dumb, but it would be worth it. Ya see, sonny.. Patty is unlike anyone else I have ever heard, and if you want to drive to Texas to see the glorious one...go for it. I am all for it. Well, be gentle with me. I know I have sinned, forgive me. - -lil' Kate ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Mar 1999 23:48:44 EST From: CornflkGl@aol.com Subject: MM: tour dates One more time for anyone who missed them... 04/10/99 Round Rock,TX Old Settlers Park 04/16/99 New York,NY Fez Under Time 04/17/99 Northampton,MA Iron Horse Music Hall 04/19/99 New York,NY Fez UnderTime 04/20/99 Philadelphia,PA Painted BrideCenter 04/21/99 Alexandria,VA Birchmere 04/22/99 Annapolis,MD Rams Head 04/27/99 Baton Rouge,LA Varsity Theatre ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V3 #79 ********************************
