That was really good. I don't want to take a lot of time, but I have to say one thing....a review is an opinion. No matter how imperious or pompous the reviewer sounds, it is only their opinion. It doesn't make it not valid, but it doesn't make it gospel. When Roger Ebert says "thumbs down" to a movie, it's just "his" thumb. You can even find his review interesting even if you don't agree. We all know Patty kicks major ass and is the most powerful, passionate singer since Janis Joplin, so who cares what Tom Shithead from Music Weekly or whatever thinks, other than just as an opinion. Patty ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! Anthony ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 5 Dec 1998 21:48:15 EST From: KIMBER311@aol.com Subject: MM: mm: Sarah Sorry but I couldn't send a private e-mail. I absolutely love LWG just as it is, but when I first heard Every Little Bit and Let Him Fly with the band on the Rarities tape, I loved both. Of course, I already knew every note and it just seemed to flow so well. I was driving home thru Hartford after Lilith Fair, actually when I got to that part for the first time, and I realized that there were other instuments in there and was blown away! Loved both. Does anyone have the whole LWG album with the band?- can we tape tree it? I have also thought of doing the opposite with Flaming Red songs- I think I have most of them on various concert tapes- making an acoustic Flaming Red tape for myself. Tony, Goodbye, Christina, Mary are drop dead beautiful in concert acoustic. I would like to hear more LWG songs with the band in concert- hint. I know there may be an uproar of indignation over such an opinion, but I think her songs are good both ways.
