There has been a question of should people who don't live in Texas and who have email addies from out of state vote on KGSR's music poll... The answer is an emphatic...YES!!!!!! The station, I doubt, will care if the email addy is from out of state because they broadcast over the web...so anybody in the world can hear them...so it doesn't matter....go and vote.... I voted for TONY...so, even if it isn't you fave...maybe we could be uniform??? Josh ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 19 Nov 1998 10:36:55 -0800 From: "Larry S. I hope to see old friends and meet new ones there. Seeya! - -=-Larry-=- kartalst@hugse1.harvard.edu wrote: > > Hello all! > > If any of you in so. Did anyone happen to ever tape Patty's show from Thursday, October 22(?)...on New York's WFUV 90.7? I'd like to know... I'd just like to thank whoever it was who suggested the Dar Williams, Lucy Kaplansky, Richard Shindell album Cry, Cry, Cry... I bought it used (one time, in store, over p.a.) for $6 today at my favorite record store here in San Marcos. It is the best six dollars I have spent all year. I love Folk Music...stripped pretty bare...and these three wonderful artists, who I can't wait to buy more of, have pulled off an incredibly sparse but lush album of folk songs...bare bones and beautiful. Hands down..this is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Harmony is beyond dense on Cry, Cry, Cry...they are perfect... I can't say enough about it...except..whoever brought it up about a month ago...thank you. IF I WANTED TO READ ABOUT HIM I WOULD GO TO THE "SUCKY FREAK WHITE GIRL PAGE!" BUT... I just want to say that I am hearing "One Big Love" and "Tony" all over the good stations in Chicago. WCBR has been playing her like crazy, but they're very progressive. Now, when is she gonna come back to Chicago!???
