I followed him in high school- way back, ok! He was one of my main folksinger interests, along with Gordon Bok who I also saw the Sat before Sedona in Branford, Ct. They both are still so young and in great voice- I notice that Jackson acually did back up for Eric on a song called Be True To You on the Collection CD, along with a bunch of other people- it doesn't say which year it was recorded. I haven't had the chance to hear it yet. Shawn Colvin also backs up some songs on Ghosts Upon The Road CD- also John Leventhal. He did songs from his new CD which will be out Nov 14- Memories of the Future, I think he said it will be titled. He reminded me some of Bob Dylan tonight- he does beautiful ballads- the new ones are still in the old style he has that I love, but also sort of singsongy talking blues on some songs. They both are so laid back- just as if they were in my kitchen singing to a handful of people. No ostentatious show biz stuff, one of the things I also like about Jackson. Eric is still a hunk, also like Jackson and Gordon. Sorry guys. Had to say it. This three weeks is incredible for me- Gordon Bok, Sedona, Eric Andersen, Patty Griffin Sun, Tues and Wed!!!!!!!, and The Nields and Richard Shindell on Fri. My family is going to put out a missing persons report. I am so far behind on catching up with the Digests but I am working on it. I still have a lot of Sedona reviews to enjoy. That 2 1/2 hr concert with Jackson sounded like heaven. Well, off to Patty in Providence after all tomorrow as LeShawnte from the list offered me a ticket- how could I refuse! Anyone else going to be there? Dana ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V2 #299 *********************************
