I can't believe all the attention this young lady I went to school with is creating. My name is DJ and I am an old friend of Patti's. Back in 1984-86, Patti had a band called Patti and the Executives, and played around the Bangor area and UMO. We had alot of fun partying every weekend at the area bars, but we never expected her to pursue this professionally. She performed all covers and we never got to see anything original. Two years ago, I stumbled upon her cd LWG and was shocked. From time to time, I would take out my yearbook and look at pictures of her from the school plays she was in. She was very shy back then and even on stage in the 80's. She is very sweet and soft spoken. Trust me, this is no act! Everyone from the Bangor area loves Patti and all of her old friends are wishing her all the success possible. What really blows my mind about all of this is that the radio stations up here in Bangor DO NOT play her music!!! There are alot of people who do not have a clue of her talent and that she is making a name for herself and is so talented. I live in Boston now, but commute weekly to Old Town to grab my sanity back. If I didn't have 92.5 or WBOS, I wouldn't have a clue of what she was up to. I am on a mission(no pun) to keep everyone updated on her success because we are all so proud. FR is great!! We were all bothered by Tony's death in school. It was kind of creepy and I'll never forget his suicide. I know his sister personally and saw the effect it had on her. But Patti taught me a lesson much greater within the lyrics of this song. I recently caught the show at Mama Kin in Bos and enjoyed her. I didn't get to talk with her after the show either and was bummed. It doesn't matter though, I get to sing with her everytime I pop in the CD. we love you patti...love DJ and Rhonda Martin.... ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V2 #264 *********************************
