They had never heard of her (I got the CD on request), so I raved about her highly, and hopefully, if they like her, they'll put her discs up on display. I also purchased LWG to give to a friend, and I'm going to get him a copy of FR as well. I don't get to listen until tonight (at work right now), but I'll live. I have it in my hands... Everybody enjoy listening tonight... AMY ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Jun 1998 11:35:17 -0500 From: Rich Subject: MM: Discoveries Cont'd CMJ, New Music Monthly had "Moses" on one of the issues... Then a co-worker introduced me to the entire CD when she was playing it at work. Fortunately her desk was next to mine. Moses perked my interest as I had heard it before, but didn't know where or when. I found myself finding things to do at my desk until the CD was over. Man oh man! Then, she gave me the CD for christmas...listen religiously on lazy Sunday mornings. Doesn't get much better than that! ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Jun 1998 12:23:08 -0500 From: "Paquin, John" Subject: MM: Flaming Red AAAAAHHHH CAN'T GET TO THE STORE!!!!!! Oddly enough, it's not too expensive and I'm gonna get it tomorrow. I think it was $12.99 or $11.99, and the next day shipping was only $4.00. It's kinda nice, I don't have to leave the house again on my day off :). And then there are those of us who are at work, and able to listen to CD's... it's the best of both worlds. :) I just picked up Flaming Red a little while ago on my lunch break. I'm listening to it now, and I'm very impressed with what I've heard to this point. So far, sooo goooood... :) Kevin - ---------- Kevin Pease kbpease@boston.crosswinds.net (ICQ UIN: 3106063) http://www.wpi.edu/~kestrel "I'm sure no one will wonder where I've gone to, but if anyone should ask from time to time - Tell 'em that you finally drove me crazy, And I'm somewhere untanglin' my mind... Even with it's backbeat, Tony is wonderful... Mary is so sweet, so sad. I like it both acoustic and here on the CD. So, hey, I can fit my foot in my mouth. :-) John ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Jun 1998 17:01:31 -0400 From: "Perlman, Judith" Subject: MM: MM Coconuts - $15.99 (!) VIDEO!!!!!! Does anyone know what will be her first vid? Will it be a big production with a cast of hundreds? Will she takes some acting lessons to help her look "anguished" when she lip syncs into the camera? Are there any songs on the new album where they could paint her silver and have her sing in front of very dark backgrounds? Can't wait to see it. All very important stuff in the making of a pop star.
