I just subscribed to this list and I thought that perhaps I ought to introduce myself. My name is Elizabeth Rose and I'm graduating from St. Mary's College of MD next weekend (May 16). I'm majoring in Sociology-ANthropology. At the end of the summer I plan to join AmeriCorps and do some work in community service for a year or two (probably in Seattle, maybe Dallas, Santa Fe, Chicago or Portland, OR). Ok, so I don't know EXACTLY where I'm going... but at least I have an idea of what I'm doing. I'm in this really ... transitory stage of my life right now. As for hobbies, I collect post cards, I'm a photographer, I like folk music (duh.), and I love to cook new and interesting vegetarian meals (samosas are my specialty). I became interested in Patty Griffin when my former roommate, Flora played a cover of Every Little Bit and Forgiveness at an open mic night last year. I had kind of forgotten about her, but then my new roommate bought the CD at Flora's urging, and I kind of fell in love with it and bought my own copy. It's one of my favorite CD's (Ben Harper's first two and G-Love w/Special Sauce's self-titeld one being my other favorites). Ok, I think that's enough about me. Thanks for listening to me babble.
