NOTICE FOR A FUN TIME! Hello everyone! Lately, there has been a big buzz out here onthe East (or "right" for those of you whose sense of direction is right hand/left hand) Coast. So many amazing artists, especially between New York City and Boston, and it seems like so little time. Well, one of these New York City artists is my favourite singer. Her name is Jenny Bruce, and it is one of my major crusades in life to introduce her music to everyone from the East to the West, from up to down, from backwards to forwards. Hell, this is how many of us have spread the news of Cindy Lee Berryhill, Joy Eden Harrison, Elizabeth Hummel, Lisa Sanders, Sarah Slean, Tara MacLean, Dayna Manning, Steve Poltz, Em Gryner, and so many more amazing singers. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! On SATURDAY, MAY 2, 1998 Jenny Bruce will be in my very own living room! Negotiations are under way for more amazing singers to come perform, and I will totally keep you all updated as more information comes in. This is a perfect weekend tobe in Boston, cuz the next day is Mayfest in Harvard Square...where they blockade all the streets, people can roam around and dance and celebrate, and there are little stages and concerts everywhere. What better weekend could there be for a livingroom concert!?!?!?!?!?!? Here's the lowdown... What: Living Room Concert Who: Jenny Bruce and others TBA Where: MY HOUSE, the abode of the ONE AND ONLY Greek Poet Chyck When: Saturday, May 2, 1998 Time: Undetermined for sure, but most probably show time is around 7 Invited: YOU! Cost: $10, and all proceeds go to the artists. this is a not-for-profit venture on my behalf. RSVP: (781) 483-1796 or e-mail to: poetchyck@yahoo.com ***THIS IS AN ALCOHOL FREE/DRY EVENT*** but don't worry, there will be plenty of soda, water, and fruit juice! Even slices of lemon, as I know that some people like their beverages with slices of lemon in it =) There is *incredibly limited limited limited* space for people to sleep on my floor, as Jenny and her husband will be taking the guest room, and it is not yet determined if other sleeping room will be needed for other artists (hopefully that will be the case!) I encourage you to all build on your Boston friendships and arrange for nightey-night situations. Should anyone be interested in staying at a youth hostel, I know one that is pretty comfortable, and it is definitely something that everyone should experience. the proprietors are wacky as all hell!! ;) I will keep you updated! Check out Jenny Bruce's webpage at: www.goodgirl.com love you all... stephanie Stephanie Maria Kartalopoulos We should be very greatful to have a kartalst@hugse1.harvard.edu limited body...like mine or like The Greek Poet Chyck yours.
