I called for reservations for the Patty Fez show last week and thought I was cool, then I find out that the show was really fully reserved. Does anyone on this list happen to have extra reservations for either show? I'm going to show up and try and get in anyway, but I'd really like a reservation. Any help will be greatly appreciated, please email me. Thanks. Laura ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Feb 1998 21:58:36 EST From: CornflkGl@aol.com Subject: MM: Iron Horse review What a GREAT show ! I sat with fellow listers David, Alan, Chris, and Bill. The opening act, Troy Campbell, was good ( even if all of his guitar playing DID sound the same ). Alan told me he thinks Troy is Patty's boyfriend... Patty, as usual, was wonderful. The show was sold out, and the crowd was very receptive. I didn't write down the set list, but someone must have. There was NO band. She played some new, beeautiful songs that everyone should listen for- specifically, some song that she wrote for her Valentine, and one named Mary ( about her grandmother, it's not brand spanking new, but I don't remember hearing it before ). She played a relatively short set, 'cause there was another band coming in at 10. I got a bunch of pictures, if any of them came out good I'll scan them and put them up on my web site :). Sorry for the short little review... I have a headache :). Rachel :D PS- See a bunch of you at Sommerville ! ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Feb 1998 22:38:04 EST From: ABershaw@aol.com Subject: MM: The Album is done!/Lilith CD/Iron Horse Hi All, To elaborate a little on what Rachel already posted, Patty was wonderful tonight, as usual, & that incredibly beautiful song she said she wrote for her valentine is called "Go Now". And heres some very interesting info. The new album will be called "Flaming Red" & it was officially finished (as in final mix) today. Hoot! Cheer! Patty said hopefully a June release. And speaking of releases, on April 28th a two CD set of Lilith Fair 98 will be released & does include Patty. Her contribution is a Lilith performance of "Cain". More info on Iron Horse setlist, etc, after a good nights sleep. Lookin forward to hookin up with more of you on Saturday in Somerville! All the best, Alan ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 19 Feb 1998 00:10:12 -0800 From: "David Lee" Subject: MM: Austin shows For those interested in Patty's shows in Austin, please note that the Cactus Cafe, located at the University of Texas, only sells tickets the day of the show about 30-40 minutes before they begins so first come, first serve. Might be wise to get there maybe a couple of hours early to stand in line, it fills up fast! David ------------------------------ End of mad-mission-digest V2 #45 ********************************
