The whole show (2 hours) is available as an mp3 (usually around 100mb) a week after the broadcast, so it should be available next Friday. Lucinda Williams is also on the show. A lot of people are fond of her music...I'm not one of those people. ;) - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- - ----------- Lucy is appearing at Club Passim on April 30th and the show is webcast (live) at: http://concertwindow.com/ I've had varying amounts of luck getting that to work. It probably works better on the Firefox browser. - -------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.wfuv.org/ has Red Horse in concert (or an hour of it) at Fordham University from December 4th of last year. It's in their archives and is easy to find on their site. - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- - -------------------------------------- There are still 5 Lucy shows up on 'The Internet Archive': http://www.archive.org/details/LucyKaplansky They are from great to fair quality. I wish someone would upload some more! - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- - -------------------------------------- I didn't see much discussion (anywhere) about the Red Horse cd. I liked it, but I would have liked more new songs (by the 3 of them). My favorite song on the cd is Lucy's rendition of Eliza's 'Sanctuary' and Eliza does a pretty nice job with 'Promise Me'. :) I heard Red Horse on WFMT's 'Folkstage' in February. I connected to the show and was pleasantly surprised, because I didn't know they were going to be on. Lucy is not quite as accomplished as the pianist on the cd, but she still did a pretty good job on 'Sanctuary'. The show is in their archives, but unfortunately it's only available to (paying) subscribers. Lastly: I really, really, really hope Lucy puts 'Let It Be' on her next cd! :) d howery ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 15 Apr 2011 07:06:17 -0700 (PDT) From: "d. howery" Subject: [lucy-list] One more: Red Horse on Folk Alley 'Folk Alley' has a Kent Stage (Kent, Ohio) concert from March, archived in the 'Live From Folk Alley' section of their website: http://www.folkalley.com/music/livefrom/red-horse/ d howery ------------------------------ End of lucy-list-digest V12 #1 ****************************** This has been a posting from the Lucy Kaplansky mail list digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe lucy-list-digest" in the body of the message
