Didn't she once sing: "See the USA in your Chevrolet"?...or so I heard. ;) Lifethreads.com is up and Lucy's website states that you can hear the song or see the video by clicking on 'artist connections', but I can't get it to load. They played the song on the KFAI program, "Womenfolk" on September 20th. http://www.kfai.org/node/22825 I believe they archive programs for 2 weeks, so it might only be there for the next couple of days. They have a player on their site or here is the realplayer (I hate realplayer) link: http://helix.kfai.org/ramgen/replay/Womenfolk/Womenfolk(2009-09-20).rm The song is at around 1 hour, 41 minutes of the 2 hour show and the host talks about it briefly a few minutes later. The stream isn't very good quality. I've listened to it a couple of times, but so far...the song doesn't do much for me. D. I should have known better. It's in her biography in about a zillion places. D. Cliff Eberhardt did commercials too. He wrote and sang, "Just for the taste of it, Diet Coke." Did he do a "Heartbeat" one too? Kenny White apparently was doing tons of commercials and writing jingles at one time. Not a bad way to make some $$. They could just get super lucky like Lowen and Navarro when their song that Pat Benetar made famous, "We Belong" went on the Sheraton Hotel commercials a few years back. I don't think that there is any shame in doing this. Artists don't have to starve to be great.
