It was a lovely show. Lucy was in very good voice. I did not keep a set list because I didnt feel like doing it. I will tell you that she has a few new songs, one of which nearly sent me sobbing out of the room. It was about her mother and I know that she had seen her mother during the few days she was out here. There was sniffling around the room and Lucy looked quite moved by it all as well. She did a lot of cover songs and asked what we thought about her doing an album of all covers. I think that it would be great. She took requests as well. There was actually a 7 year old girl there that knew her music by heart. She requested The Red Thread. Awww. There was a wonderful piano there and Lucy used it for a few songs including her amazing version of Let It Be. For some reason I started thinking that I would like her to sing By Way of Sorrow. I actually thought that if I thought hard enough, maybe she would do it. I thought of John Gorka and how he asks for mental requests. Well, dont you know that was her next song! Now, if I could only use my mind control in other aspects of my life! So, here are the songs that I remember (not in order). She started out with Loch Lomond. The show was recorded and I am hoping that they post this on youtube. Maybe if we all think it, it will happen ;o) She also sang: Ring of Fire Dont Mind Me Song About Pi Amelia The Red Thread Brooklyn Train Leonard Cohens Hallelujah Song for Molly Ten Year Night (of course) Manhattan Moon Bob Dylans It Aint Me Five in the Morning Just You Tonight Scorpion Goodnight Im sure that I forgot some. All and all it was an excellent Lucy night. I hope you all get to see her in the months to come.
