B The added bonus , for us , was the shows that we attended fell over a weekend so we travelled on our 1,100 mile round trip to catch her in Norwich on the Saturday and Milton Keynes on the Sunday. We met fellow Lucy fan Paul from Oxford at the Milton Keynes gig who like Liz and I is a regular Lucy show attender. Anybody else at any of the shows ? I have to agree with you about "Let it Be." When I heard her do it at my last Lucy concert, I was moved to tears. It was like hearing the song for the very first time. Thanks for posting. Apparently she was at a festival and there was a Beatles Song Workshop where she and many others performed their choice of Beatles song , after Lucy had performed hers she was asked if she knew any others and someone had the words with them for Let It Be which she then performed and has been singing ever since. Lucy also told us that she had read a book about the Beatles by Bob Spitz (could be wrong!) and that in the book she learned that Paul McCartney had actually written the song about his mother , Mary , and that she uesd to tell him all the time to Let It Be. I feel pretty confident we'll see this on the next record whenever it appears Donald - ----- Original Message ---- From: Kathy Sands-Boehmer To: lucy-list@smoe.org Sent: Sunday, 22 June, 2008 5:23:09 PM Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Lucy UK Visit So "Let It Be" is the Beatle tune, eh?
