So yesterday I was driving to work and I had the local traffic/weather station on. And I hear a commercial for Shaw Jewelers. The announcer says, "Shaw Jewelers presents Robin Bateau!" And then we hear Robin Bateau and his guitar and some song about diamonds. And then there was a woman singing harmony. It sounded a lot like Lucy, but it was also pretty quiet and radio quality, so it was a little hard to tell. I heard the commercial again on my evening commute and I turned it way up. I swear I was hearing that lovely Lucy vocal quality... Is that her? I haven't had time to do any googling and figure out what Robin Bateau song that might be and if she sang harmony when he recorded it... but I know it's entirely possible. Anyone else in the DC area hear this? Or anywhere else? (I don't even know if Shaw is a chain or not. I'm clearly not up on my jewelry stores!) That _is_ Lucy I was hearing... right? Until I learn otherwise I'm going to believe it is, because it certainly did make me smile. Take care, all! I've heard it several times, on WTOP, but usually didn't pay close enough attention to notice the female voice. I heard it against today, and this time my ears perked up when it came on. I agree that does sound very much like Lucy. Joanne > So yesterday I was driving to work and I had the local traffic/weather > station on. And I hear a commercial for Shaw Jewelers. It is very sweet and a lovely gift for a child or parent. Lucy told a moving story of how her father had a Golden Book that he had set to music. He would sing it to them all the time when they were little. When they got older, they could not find the book. Recently, Spike, Lucy's brother, found the book and sent it to Lucy. She got all "farklempt" when she saw it and read then sang it to little Molly. Now Molly asks her to read it. Then she asks her to sing it and to get emotional.
