Lucy went on first and although she had a cold, you could hear it when she spoke, her singing was flawless. She spoke about her new album coming out. She sang a few songs from it and she said it is now Mollie's new favorite album! Lucy said her and her husband were relieved because before that, it was The Red Thread. She said she never wanted to hear that cd ever again! She brought Duke Levine with her who really kicked butt on "Ring of Fire" a song that will also be on the new album. This new album sounds like it's going to be something special, judging from the few songs she played. I finally got my Red Thread cd signed and I mentioned that it was a year ago that her and Richard Shindell played Carnegie Hall. She corrected me, saying it was the 18th, not the 17th but it was also a Friday night. I thanked her for both performances and got the hell out of there before I said something stupid! I get so tongue-tied talking to singers I really like. That's why I usually get one of my kids to get my cd's signed for me. I've forgotten how much I enjoy seeing Lucy in concert and I'm going to make sure to see her again and soon!
