New Venue for FRFF? >>hi im new...been a lucy fan for awhile but just recently saw her for the first time in okc at the blue door this month<< Welcome to the List, Kristen! I take it OKC stands for Oklahoma City? (I know I could probably find that out for myself by googling it or the "Blue Door" but I am too lazy (actually too "at work") to do that. Me, I have my next Lucy show sometime in April at the venerable Cedar Cultural Center here in Minneapolis. Say, Donna, what do you know about the new venue for FRFF? You (or anyone else for that matter) can answer me on or offline, as you see fit. I've heard Lucy mention the thought of recording an album of old country covers too. It would be wonderful! Lucy's version of "A Heart Needs a Home" on the piano was absolutely beautiful. I hope it makes a future album too Paul. Would that be considered "country"? My additional list of hopeful covers (although they aren't all old country songs): More Than This-Bryan Ferry He Thinks I Still Care-Dickey Lee I Still Miss Someone-Johnny Cash God Will-Lyle Lovett Hot Burrito #1-Gram Parsons and Chris Ethridge Willy-Joni Mitchell Lucy sings most of these songs on the piano except for "More Than This" and "God Will". I'm sure they would sound wonderful on the piano. Maybe she could record a piano album and include my favorite "If You Could See"! Sharon.are you out there??? She might be walking to work today (NYC transit strike). From what I remember, I think the new site is not far from the old site at all. My husband has the whole satellite photo-map-coordinates thing going, so I can ask him for more details. I know he's planning a reconnaissance mission at some point to "get a lay of the land". Best wishes to all! Maura Kennedy said that she and Pete had the opportunity to visit the new site in October, and she thinks it will be as good if not better than Brennan Farm! She also mentioned that the camping area has trees, so at least there should be some shade for those of you who will be camping.
