Hi Gina, expressing my opinion about what I see happening in our country is not being inflammatory. I think the division came in when people starting making fun of the conservative view. I said "no offense" twice in my post, and none was intended. Sorry for the non- Lucy content. I unsubscribed from the Shindell list last month because my religion and politics were constantly being ridiculed. No one said a word, even when someone described conservatives as "fucken Christians." It appears those with liberal views are free to denigrate anyone who doesn't agree with them about religion and/or politics, but traditionalists who dare to express themselves are being blasted. This bias is very unfair. I'm not ashamed to be a Christian conservative traditionalist American, even if it's not popular in here these days. I'm here because I love acoustic music, great songwriting, deep lyrics. Lucy is great. So is Richard. I have all their music and it doesn't matter to me what their politics are. What bothers me is all the hatred and prejudice I see from people who love the same music I do. Speaking of music, Lucy music, I heard a song she did with Shawn Colvin, _Heart on Ice_. Wow. I think it's on a Fast Folk record or something. I wish Lucy would record that, singing the harmony with herself. What a song! Since you seem to know that many people in the folk community do not share your views, your post seems like nothing short of baiting.
