Deirdre just sent me some stuff I didn't have, and I hope to have her version of the song up on Grassy Hill Radio in a couple of days. (Once I am through clearing branches and mud from the yard!) speaking of which, GHR is playing "Scorpion" right this second :) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 19 Sep 2004 17:02:46 -0400 From: L Kling Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Deidre McCalla (was Lucy in Wolfeboro Sept 17) Tom, I'm just wondering...I first saw Deidre in concert in 1989 and have all (but the newest) of her tapes and CD's. Since you're going to put her version of "Nothing Ventured" on Grassy Hill Radio, I'm just wondering how you would classify her music...I've never thought of her as folk except for that ubiquitous "folk" that women's music (a euphamism for lesbian music) gets lumped into. It seems to me more of a pop rock kind of sound. Thoughts?
