And I loved the song Lucy did by Deidre McCall.thanks Lisa. Did anyone find more info on this song? That's one of the reasons why I love Lucy.you never know what she's going to sing. She asked me to pass along the following. - ------------ the song was recorded by me in in 1985 on an album called "Don't Doubt It" as another poster mentioned. it's one of the songs in the world i sure wish i'd written. the songwriter is Daisann McLane who i knew in NYC in the 1980s. it's a great tune. don't know where Daisann is now. over the years i used to see short pieces by her in the Village Voice or occasionally a piece on npr on calypso music. for a while she had a career as a calypso singer in Trinidad known as Lady Complainer; her blond hair/blue eyes must surely have stood out in that arena! anyway, just thought i'd clear up the mystery. - ----------- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 7 Sep 2004 15:35:23 -0400 From: "Donna Myers" Subject: [lucy-list] Re: Nothing Ventured How cool is that? Thanks to Tom Neff and Deidre McCalla for taking the time to clear up the mystery!
