Not often do you get a chance to relive a show you were at, and I must say I'm so happy I have this opportunity. Well, the show arrived over the weekend, and I've finally had a chance to listen to it. Love it. The jewel case has a listing of the songs, and to my chagrin the listing for the 2nd disc ended at "A Song About Pi", which Lucy performed well before the actual end of the show, my favorite Lucy tune, "Just You Tonight" on piano. You can imagine my relief when I listened to the darn thing and found 6 more songs than were listed (hidden tracks?), including the aformentioned JYT. So I think I have the whole show. Woo hoo! The sound is great, clearly a soundboard recording. And now, I am prepared, if Timothy is game, to solve the "No Barter Battle" mystery. You might remember Timothy's set list, compiled in the dark, listed this as one of Lucy's selections. Timothy, I've got the real track listing here, so let's compare notes! Since I think you said it was in the first set, I've got to guess "Brooklyn Train", since it's one of the few with a 'B' in it anywhere. Anyway, I thought you'd all be glad to here that I received this Lucy rarity--without question the most I've ever paid for an album (albeit a double album) in my life. And worth it. One of those "sweet" sounding voices with a twang (a la the Demented Iris, with whom she's performed) that sticks with you. I've been listening to her 1998 release "Hydrienga"; have got her long-overdue follow up "You Call That Dark" on my "hope I win it from WNCW/to buy/to ask for as a gift" list. One of about 20 or so releases so far this year that qualifies as being worthy of being on a "Ten Best" list.
