This is a rockin rocknroll band...in the spirit of emmylou's spyboy and in the spirit of Patty Griffin's band. this band can compete with rosanne cash's band..these guys can blow the roof off an arts center.. The ballads are well arranged and the guitar solos are still there..and chapin is a pure joy to watch and hear... I recommend you DONT miss this tour... the tour should be travelling to a city near you... If you have any doubt that Chapin has outdone herself..Get a copy of Between here and Gone and cruise through this cd.. it one of this years finest work...... sharonG - -- yes sometimes you get there in spite of the route losing track of your life and what it's all about the road seems to know when to straighten right out the closer you get to elysium mary chapin carpenter ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 18 May 2004 9:30:44 -0400 From: Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Chapin hits the road...and so didnt i... I have to admit I'm disappointed in the new MCC album. To me, it's too mid-tempo. The songs kinda blend into each other. I wonder what the story is with the phasing out of John Jennings. Is he even in the band nowdays? Keep listening Rick - I think the MCC album is brilliant. The lyrics are amazing. I've been listening non-stop for days (going to and from work on my CD walkman) and hear new things in the music and words each time. JJ is all over it and in the touring band. susan in alameda RV said: I have to admit I'm disappointed in the new MCC album. To me, it's too mid-tempo. The songs kinda blend into each other.
