It was indeed great, perhaps the best of the three in terms of overall audience enthusiasm, and Lucy sounded fantastic. My lack of narration surrounding the Friday show is due partially to the fact that Lucy's set was pretty much exactly the same as Thursday night's except that the encore was not Speaking With the Angel, but The Tide instead (after some deliberation, since it was such a sad one...but that was what people wanted!)...so, while it was all really GOOD, there's not much DIFFERENT to tell. Also, I personally managed not to (1) spill anything or (2) say anything stupid to anyone (to my knowledge)...so it was an unusually successful evening for me, but a bit short on colorful anecdotes! Finally, I was away for the weekend and not online and am just starting the attempt to catch up (those of you to whom I owe personal communications are not forgotten and WILL get them as soon as I can manage it!). So...the long and short of it is that Friday was a most pleasant evening of enjoying Lucy---concluding in a long and delightful dinner with Paul from England, who will (this holds for Donald and Liz from Scotland too, I might add) be warmly welcomed into the American circle of Lucy fandom should he ever choose to emigrate! (Anyone else from the international fan base who would like to visit is most welcome...although I must warn you that some very high standards of niceness have been set by those who have started the trend!)
