She's singing Cowboy Singer now...having done No Place to Fall a few minutes ago. They're also giving 10 copies of her show in Minneapolis on 4/3, on CD, to people who pledge $250 to WFUV. Sigh...I love Lucy and I love WFUV and I'd love that show...but $250 is just a little too much for me right now, especially since I already renewed my membership... If anybody on the list ends up with it, let us know so maybe we can finally decipher what that song was on Timothy's set list that he couldn't figure out from what he'd written... Well, I went for it. I was at the Minneapolis show, it's a good cause, tax deductible, what the heck. I think the guy was pretty surprised to get a pledge from Nebraska. In fact, I think he was surprised we had telephones, much less the internet. Yeah, I had to spell Omaha for him. Anyway, I'll let ya know what this set is like. And better start making up your guest bed out there in Omaha (if you have one) for when hordes of Lucy-listers start showing up on your doorstep asking you to play it for them! (I think that's even the show where she did Evangeline, right?) :-) Benay Original Message: - ----------------- Well, I went for it. I'm looking forward to getting it, while at the same time being paranoid that the guy didn't put me down for the right gift. Ah, well. There are special lables and they get separated and matched and coded and inputted... the only way they are treated the same as the general ones, is in Denis's tally...they get tallied for the AMount only... sharon - -- "up above me wayward angels a blur of wings and grace... I feel so privileged to have met and talked with Lucy's parents. I live in the same town as them and sat next to them at a Lucy show once. Her mom was so cute, so clearly proud of her daughter and talking mostly about what she was wearing for her show. Dad tried to show less pride and seem as though he had wished she had followed his path and become an academic - nobody makes a living at music, but he was very proud of her. They were very delightful people and Lucy clearly has a strong bond with both of them.
