While you're waiting for Lucy's interview to air, don't be too quick to dismiss Adrienne Young. She is NOT your typical Nashville artist. Her music is not really country - much less pop country. Her group does some songs from the old time mountain music tradition, but her original songs are closer to those of Nickel Creek. Both Adrienne's album and Lucy's latest album have been on the Americana Music Assn.'s Radio Airplay Chart since their release, so there must be a lot of overlap among their fans. Adrienne is also a charter member of our new SouthEast Regional Folk Alliance (SERFA). If you have broadband, you can watch her group on a recent Woodsongs show (modem users can listen): http://www.woodsongs.com/showlist.asp And I would recommend that you visit her website and read the Almanac entries to get a true picture of her personality: http://www.adrienneyoung.com/ Thanks, Steve Robertson Publisher of Fiddlin' Around http://www.starchart.com/FidA/fida.html ------------------------------ End of lucy-list-digest V6 #82 ****************************** This has been a posting from the Lucy Kaplansky mail list digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe lucy-list-digest" in the body of the message
