It was a good show and we could indeed hear all the words. It was a special show for Lucy because some other families that she went to China with were there. They had never seen her perform and were quite pleased. I sat right by them and also told them of the donation the group made to the orphanage - which pleased them too, of course. Lucy managed to not get ferklempt during the show, but warned us that it might happen. I, on the other hand, cried through a good portion of the of the show and then when she did "For Once in Your Life" because she was going to see her mother the next day, I was gasping and choking in the back of the room, trying not to sob out loud. So, if any of you heard that, sorry. Lucy told me later that she was quite proud of how she held it together that night because she didn't think she would. She was joined by Matt Cartsonis for several numbers. They usually seem to have more fun together. But, the whole evening didn't have as much fun as other shows I've seen of hers. It was more emotional. She did report that whenever she comes to L.A. she has a celebrity siting. This time it was Barry Sheck (of OJ fame). She also spoke of taking Molly to the beach for the first time. And, Molly said, "mmmmmmm" when Lucy asked what sound a cow makes. Sorry, I didn't keep a set list. Did anybody? The house was sold out. She did a lot of the songs from the new album, "More Than This" and the standards like "Ten Year Night." "Scorpion" etc. She did "The Kid" and she also did "By Way of Sorrow" from Cry3. I know that this is a rather weak review, so if anyone else was there, please add on.
